Clutch

A clutch is when the last player alive on a team wins the round against the odds — for example winning a 1v2 or 1v3 in VALORANT.

Clutch — definition

A clutch is when the last player alive on a team wins the round despite being outnumbered — the classic example being a 1v2 or 1v3 in VALORANT, where one player has to beat two or three opponents alone.

Clutches often hinge on information and composure: tracking how many enemies remain, using sound, and — on attack — sometimes winning purely by getting the Spike down and playing the timer.
