In VALORANT, a Duelist is a self-sufficient, aggressive agent built to take the first fights and create space — the role the team's entry fragger usually plays.

A Duelist is one of the four agent roles in VALORANT. Duelists are self-sufficient, aggressive agents whose abilities are built around taking fights and creating space — they lead the charge onto a site and look to win the opening duel.
Because of that aggressive job, the team's entry fragger is almost always a Duelist. The other three roles are Initiator, Controller and Sentinel.
