An Initiator is one of the four agent roles in VALORANT. Initiators set up takes: they use intel, flashes and disruption abilities to clear angles and blind or displace defenders, creating the safe opening their Duelist entries through.
Initiators pair tightly with Controllers and Duelists on a site execute, and with Sentinels when gathering information on defence.
