VCT Pacific
VCT Pacific is the Asia-Pacific international league of the VALORANT Champions Tour — the tier-1 league above the Challengers SEA pathway that Malaysian teams climb.
What is VCT Pacific?
VCT Pacific is the Asia-Pacific international league of the VALORANT Champions Tour — one of the four tier-1 leagues of professional VALORANT. It is the league Malaysian players reach via the Southeast Asia pathway, and it is home to Paper Rex, whose in-game leader d4v41 is Malaysian.
The Malaysian / SEA pathway (2026)
Malaysia does not have a standalone "Challengers Malaysia." Instead, Malaysian teams compete in VALORANT Challengers Southeast Asia (Challengers SEA) — the regional tier-2 circuit.
For 2026, Riot removed the Ascension promotion path. Top Challengers SEA teams now earn direct slots into the international league's Stage 2 Playoffs (which feed VALORANT Champions): the Challengers SEA playoff champion advances to VCT Pacific's Stage 2 stage, while the runner-up and the top Challenger-points team go to a Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) against South Asia and Oceania.
Naming note: the current tier-2 circuit is Challengers SEA, not "Challengers Malaysia," and the old Ascension route no longer exists as of 2026.
