What is Axle Sports?
Axle Sports (also Axle Motorsport) is a Malaysian sim racing company and driver academy founded by former Formula 1 driver Alex Yoong, based in Petaling Jaya. Through its Axle Academy, it coaches sim racers with courses curated by Yoong, and it runs the eRacing Grand Prix (eRacing GP) competition series, including Southeast Asia finals.
A talent pipeline
Axle Sports is one of the two clearest anchors of Malaysian sim racing (alongside the Toyota GR GT Cup Malaysia). It is where Yoong discovered the Azlan brothers — talent that went on from the simulator to real-world racing — making the academy a genuine sim-to-real pipeline. Yoong's work here fed directly into his appointment as the MESF national e-Racing coach.
