The meta (short for "most effective tactics available") is the set of strategies, heroes and team compositions that are currently strongest in a game like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. It is not fixed — it shifts every time the developer ships a balance patch or when pro teams discover a new approach.
Why the meta matters
- Drafting — the pick & ban phase revolves around which heroes are meta.
- Climbing rank — playing meta heroes is usually the fastest way up the rank tiers.
- Watching pro play — the meta explains why certain heroes are picked or banned almost every game.
