Draft (Pick & Ban)
The draft is the pick-and-ban phase before a competitive match, where teams take turns banning heroes out and picking their own to build a team composition.
Draft — definition
The draft — also called the pick & ban — is the phase before a competitive Mobile Legends: Bang Bang match where the two teams take turns banning heroes (removing them from the game) and picking the heroes they will play. It produces each team's composition for that game.
Why the draft matters
- It is half the game — a strong draft can win a match before it starts.
- It is shaped by the meta — the most powerful heroes are usually banned first.
- Roles drive picks — teams draft to fill each role, from the gold laner to the roamer, while countering the opponent.
