What is MPL Malaysia?

MPL Malaysia is the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League for Malaysia — the top-tier domestic competition for MLBB. It runs as a franchised league: a fixed set of partnered teams play a regular season, then the top teams advance to playoffs to crown a champion and earn slots at international events.

How the season works

A typical MPL season has two phases:

  • Regular season — round-robin matches that seed the standings.
  • Playoffs — a bracket where the regular-season leaders compete for the Immortal Cup and qualification to regional/international events.

The franchise era (2026)

Season 17 marked MPL Malaysia's shift to a partnership/franchise model, launched by Moonton with the Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF) and Esports Integrated (ESI). The eight franchised teams were: Selangor Red Giants, Team Vamos, Invictus Gaming, Bigetron MY by VIT, RRQ Tora, Team Rey, AC Esports and Team Flash.

Season 17 (2026)

Selangor Red Giants won Season 17, beating Team Vamos 4–0 in the grand final on 7 June 2026 at Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara — their record fifth consecutive title. The season carried a US$100,000 prize pool, with the champions taking roughly US$31,900. SRG and Vamos claimed Malaysia's two slots at the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2026 in Paris.
